So how will we conduct our experiment?
Excellent question! I'm glad you asked!
The data that was collected during The Water Bottle Project Part I will serve as our control group. This group highlights the amount of disposable plastic water bottles being used at school.
The experimental group of data will be the amount of plastic water bottles that we count being used within the classroom after the filtered water bottle filler has been installed. This experimental group of data will show whether or not installing the filtered water bottle filler had an effect on the waste generated by Grandville High School.
The following posted survey will also be used to gain another control variable and count of how many reusable water bottles are being used in the school prior to the water bottle filler being installed.

So what will this water bottle filler look like?
These filtered water bottle stations attach to the top of an already existing drinking fountain in order to provide a quick and efficient way to fill a reusable water bottle up with cool, refreshing, filtered water! They also keep count of how many water bottles have been filled at the station, allowing the owner of the water bottle filling station (in this case Grandville High School) to know how much use the filling station gets and how much waste has been saved by reusing water bottles!
